What the Canadian champ listens to on her Wahoo KICKR
In need of some motivation for riding the trainer? Alison Jackson, the dancing queen herself, is here to help!
The reigning Paris-Roubaix champion spent a good portion of the off-season riding the trainer in wintry Alberta ahead of the 2024 season. And you know that someone who loves dancing as much as she does will have the right tunes to keep you dancing on the trainer.
Looking for classic rock? Check. Fan of indie rock? Got it. Something with a fun beat? You know it!
Alison’s playlist has you covered so crank up the volume and get pedaling.
"Edge of Seventeen" by Stevie Nicks
This song is a classic but it’s so fun to dance to and I could just listen to it on repeat when I’m on the trainer!
"Mary Jane’s Last Dance" by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
I love some good Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, or just Tom Petty, but that comes from growing up in Alberta. We listen to a lot of rock.
"If You’re Too Shy (Let Me Know)" by The 1975
These are two of my favorite songs by The 1975, especially If You’re Too Shy. I just listen to that on repeat. It’s really fun to dance to.
"I’m In Love With You" by The 1975
This year my favorite band has been The 1975. I went to their concert in December.
"Impossible" by Nothing But Thieves
Another fun band that I’ve been enjoying is Nothing But Thieves!
"Do You Love Me Yet?" by Nothing But Thieves
"Do You Love Me Yet?" by Nothing But Thieves
"Black Holes (Solid Ground)" by The Blue Stones
The Blue Stones are a Canadian rock band and I love trying to find some Canadian artists that are up and coming and supporting them. I also have a lot of fun with classic rock and indie rock.
"19" by Peim and ANNNA
These last two songs are dance party vibes that you don’t necessarily need to know the words to but you can pedal real hard to!
